Whether you’ve been out of high school for years or months, you CAN earn your GED. Try our free classes. You’re in control of what you learn and how fast you go, and our experienced teachers are here to help.

If you’ve already started the GED® test, you’re almost there. The current version of the GED® test is expiring at the end of 2013 and your scores will expire too if you don’t finish and pass the test by then. If you act soon, you won’t have to re-take the parts of the test you’ve already passed.

Don’t feel prepared to finish the GED® test? Don’t worry—we can help!  Even with your busy schedule, you can prepare, plan, and succeed.  FREE GED preparation testing and classes are scheduled at Medina County Career Center and Medina’s Next Step/JOG Center. Summer classes begin July 8—don’t delay!   Daytime and evening classes are available.

GED Classes are offered at two locations: Medina County Career Center and Next Step/JOG Center.

Registration & Orientation
Attendance at Registration/Orientation is required before you can begin GED/Basic Skills Classes or take a GED Practice Test.

GED Test

All GED Test scheduling must be done online with the Ohio Department of Education (ODE). To schedule a test, you must register, apply, and pay online at the ODE website:

  1. Select “GED Web Application Sign In” and follow the instructions to apply for a SAFE account.

  2. Through your SAFE account, submit your Application and Pay the $40 testing fee.

  3. When your application and fee have been accepted, you can schedule your test online at any testing location in the state of Ohio.

  4. After you’ve taken your GED test, you can use your SAFE account to find out your scores.
