January Students of the Month

 

 
  Kevin Calmer

Alina Schroeder
Kevin is a senior in the Engineering Technology and Design Program. He currently serves as president of the Engineering Technology and Design Robotics Club. Kevin also serves as captain of the Medina Technology Club’s Robot Hockey Team. In 2011, Kevin earned the rank of Eagle Scout after completing his Eagle Scout Project, located on the grounds of Medina High School. He is a member of the NASA Glenn Explorers through Boy Scouts. Kevin has served as a camp instructor over the last four years in the areas of small boat sailing, motor boating, archery, rifle shooting, shotgun shooting, white water rafting, rowing, canoeing, hiking, and swimming and lifesaving.  Here at MCCC, Kevin’s academics have included College Composition I & II and American National Government through Tri-C. Kevin was inducted into both the National Honor Society and the National Technical Honor Society as a junior. Following graduation, Kevin plans to attend college to pursue a degree in aerospace engineering.
 
Alina is a senior in the Animal Care Program. She has served as secretary for her 4-H Club since 2008. Alina volunteers at a veterinarian’s office and is involved in equine judging through FFA. At her home school, Alina is involved in concert band and marching band. She has earned both Academic and Band Letters from her home school.    Following graduation, Alina plans to attend the Ohio State University to become a large animal veterinarian.
