Medical Services

The Medina County Career Center medical services department provides medical services to students and staff which include: First Aid Health Education Community Resources Referrals Communicable disease reporting to Medina County Health Department	Ms. Rebecca Moutoux, "Nurse Becky", is available school hours Monday through Friday. Students needing her services should report to the Information Desk or contact the high school office at 330.725.8461
FORMS	RESOURCES
Asthma Inhaler A completed form must be provided to the school principal and/or nurse before the student may possess and use an asthma inhaler in school. Bee/Wasp Sting Allergy Record Describes reactions to bee/wasp stings. To be submitted to the high school nurse. Diagnosis/Disorder: Diabetes Diabetic Care Plan Epinephrine Auto-Injector A completed form must be provided to the school principal and/or nurse before the student may possess and use an Epinephrine Auto-Injector to treat Anaphylaxis in school. Over the Counter Medication Authorization Completed and must be signed by Parent/Guardian and returned to high school nurse. Prescription Medication Authorization Completed and must be signed by Parent/Guardian and Physician and returned to high school nurse. Seizure Action Plan Complete this form to better assist our staff if a seizure should occur during school hours. Student Counseling Services

Mrs. Swartz joined the Medina County Career Center in 2006 as the Student Assistance Counselor. As a student advocate, she provides support and resources to MCCC students. Mrs. Swartz holds a Masters Degree in Education and is licensed by The State of Ohio as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
	Services provided include: Individual, group and family counseling Positive Life Choices Substance Use/Abuse Stress Relief Anger Management Grief Life Skills Diversity Training Career Counseling Time Management and Organization Non-Traditional Student Support Groups Referrals to outside agencies Consultations with parents and caregivers Collaboration with student support systems Education programs for students Conflict mediation and resolution Resources for students and their families Coalition of Medina County Food Pantries Community Resources Counseling Resources Operation Homes	Mrs. Swartz is available during school hours Monday through Friday and evenings and Saturdays by appointment.
