American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver and Healthcare Provider CPR – Traditional Classroom or new Online option!

These courses are designed for both medical professionals (Healthcare Provider) and the general public (Heartsaver). Learn how to give emergency assistance to someone whose heart and breathing have stopped.

The entire course can be completed on campus in a classroom setting OR as a new on-line option (classroom portion) from the convenience of your own computer. Skills practice and testing would be scheduled with an AHA approved instructor following the successful completion of the on-line portion.

Tuition:

  • Complete class (on campus) $125 (includes book and CPR card)

  • Skills practice/testing only $75/individual (includes CPR card)

  • Skills practice/testing only $50/2 or more individuals at the same session (includes CPR card)

Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) CERTIFICATIONS in MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION

Classes offered:
 
Certification 1: 14-hour class in oral and topical medication administration, meeting the requirements of DODD.  Prerequisite: Current employment as a DD caregiver, clean background check, have a high school diploma or GED.  Tuition is $90 per student.  Tuition for 6 or more students from the same agency, same class is $80 per student.
 
Certification 2
: 4-hour class designed to teach proper methods for providing nutrition and/or medications through a permanent gastric or intestinal feeding tube.  Prerequisite: current DODD Certification 1.  Tuition is $40 per student.
 
Certification 3: 4-hour class designed to teach proper methods of administering subcutaneous insulin.  Prerequisite: current DODD Certification 1.  Tuition is $40 per student.

Various topics are offered for annual recertification.  Individual skills checks included with annual renewal.  Tuition is $15 per hour per student.
